This minerals trip is a little hard or strange, when I was doing minerals trip, the weather condition is bad, when nearlly back, weather is ok. I also met the snow when I visited Chenzhou area(Chenzhou,Yizhan,Yaogangxian). And I visited GuiLin minerals market-YiZhan-Yaogangxian-Chenzhou-Ganzhou, then take the train back to ShangHai city, anyway, got some minerals back. So cold when I was in Chenzhou, Yizhan, Yaogangxian, I met the snow.
Trip time From 2010-Mar.7th-12th.
I started this trip Mar.7th, take the plane to Guilin and searched for minerals
I took this photo in the hotel near the GuiLin minerals market, I like the small mountains around the city.
Some cerussite crystals grow on this rock, new find last year near our spring festival, just interesting crystal shape, I bring back a piece of specimen.
I also saw some piece of vivianite from Guangxi province before, I did not bring back before, this year I selected best one back, vivianite associated with siderite.
I told before I met the snow and cold weather in Chenzhou,Yizhan,Yaogangxian mine area, I took the train from Guilin to Chenzhou, arrived at 2:00AM, then I took the bus to Yizhan 4:00AM, big snow started that time, so cold, I arrived Yizhan about 6:00AM and met a dealer, so cold, I felt I would catch a cold...
After A quick met of dealer in Yizhan, I made the decision to Yaogangxian, I want to get a quick visit, really a little afraid of the snow, and afraid I can not back or up to Yaogangxian, I rent the taxi, you can see the snow on the road.
Anyway, I selected some interesting pieces from a local mineral dealer, I will updated on website soon. Weather is cold, but need keep warm smile.
The rest story, I visited Chenzhou and checked some minerals from some minerals dealers in Chenzhou, and then I went to Ganzhou area, Jiangxi province, also got some pieces of minerals back.
